Software for Podcasting is very inexpensive or even FREE. Below are all of the Software products I use for RECORDING, EDITING, PUBLISHING and HOSTING my PODCAST.
Your guest will most likely be familiar with Skype and the only recommendation is that they use a headset preferably a Microsoft USB LifeChat or Logitech USB Headset both are under $30 and both provide you great sound quality for your interview.
**What version of Skype are you using? I use Skype Version 126.96.36.199 because the later versions do not sync with Pamela, at least for me. So if you have the latest desktop version of Skype and you can’t Sync to Pamela DOWNLOAD Skype Version 188.8.131.52 and that should Sync instantly.
Pamela – It’s very inexpensive and it’s very easy to use. You pay $32.34 for the Pamela Professional Edition . You can easily record both voice and video, and then upload the recording to your software program of choice for editing.
View product details and highlights. Pamela is the most downloaded Skype audio and video recording tool since 2005 and was the first Skype certified product. The price is one time and includes free lifetime technical support and product upgrades.
This is the software I use to Edit my MP3 right after I finish recording on Pamela. You can cut long pauses, comments you don’t want to air, ‘humm’s, ya know’s, as well as remove background noise… it’s amazing FREE software.
You can use Audacity to:
– Record live audio.
– Edit WAV, AIFF, FLAC, MP2, MP3 or Ogg Vorbis sound files.
– Cut, copy, splice or mix sounds together.
– Numerous effects including change the speed or pitch of a recording.
– And more! See the complete list of features.
